Description
Vanilla beans are made by drying and curing the green, tasteless pod of a tropical, climbing orchid indigenous to South America. Curing can take up to 3 months, and results in a soft, pliable and fragrant Vanilla Bean.
Herbie’s Spices Premium Grade Vanilla Beans are graded according to flavour quality, rather than size, and are moist, succulent, aromatic and full-flavoured.
Vanilla Beans can be added to fruit when stewing, or the bean can be silt open and the seeds scraped out to add to custard, ice-cream, cream or unflavoured yoghurt.
