Description
These line-caught anchovies are prepared on the same day to preserve the natural flavour and freshness. They’re salted for a period of 6-12 months before being washed, trimmed and filleted by hand. The fish are then canned in olive oil. The process results in plump fillets with no bones and a creamy texture.
Conservas Ortiz was founded more than 100 years ago and is established in the small fishing village of Ondarroa, located in the North of Spain, on the Cantabrian Coast on the Bay of Biscay.
