Description
This white sesame oil is produced from the first squeeze of roasted white sesame paste. The paste is made by the maker Yamada at a temperature that retains the natural flavour of sesame. Yamada is very meticulous regarding all aspects of producing their oils, from the selection of the sesame seeds, making the paste to pressing. This is a handmade product free of intervention from additives or chemicals.
White sesame oil is used in dressings, and as a seasoning. The oil has a high smoking temperature so it is excellent for shallow frying, and has been traditionally used for deep frying tempura.
