Shepherd’s purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris) is a certified organic herb with a long history of use in European and Chinese herbal traditions. It is one of the most well-known traditional herbs for women’s health, valued for centuries as a gentle support for healthy menstrual flow. The dried herb brews into a mild, slightly peppery tea.

Shepherd’s purse is recognised as one of the “seven herbs of spring” in Japanese tradition (Nazuna), where it is eaten as part of the Nanakusa-no-sekku festival on 7 January. It is listed in the European Pharmacopoeia for traditional use.
