Mr Fothergill’s Sugarloaf cabbage is a highly regarded variety known for its compact, conical heads and exceptional flavour. Its bright green, nutrient-packed leaves have a mild, slightly sweet taste and can be enjoyed cooked or raw with a zesty dressing. Simply steam for an easy side dish or add to stir-fries, soups, coleslaws, and fresh garden salads.
Also known as pointed cabbage, Sugarloaf cabbage is sweeter and more tender than many other cabbage cultivars. Disease-resistant and easy to grow, these hardy cabbage seeds perform well in well-draining soil with plenty of sunlight. The heads mature over several weeks and can grow to impressive sizes, with some weighing up to 1.5kg when ready to harvest.
